Zatlers prepares to step down

RIGA - Due to health problems, Reform Party Chairman Valdis Zatlers will resign from his post this summer when his term expires, reports LETA. Zatlers announced his decision during the party’s board meeting on April 17.The party chairman says that his health condition prevents him from fully committing himself to running the party. He has duly informed his colleagues so that the new chairman would be nominated in due time.The new chairman will be elected by the party’s congress and Zatlers will vote for the party’s Saeima group chairman, Vjaceslavs Dombrovskis....
