TALLINN – Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves issued a statement, noting that the Boston explosions recall once again the importance of internal security for all of us, writes the National Broadcasting.

“Estonia’s thoughts of compassion and support are with all the loved ones and friends of those who died in the Boston explosions yesterday, as well as with those who were injured, whom we wish to get well soon,” stated the Estonian head of State.

He remarked that the explosions reminded once again that there are people with evil intentions who do not consider human lives and human values sacred.

“Unfortunately, the Boston explosions recall once again the importance of internal security for all of us and of the constant vigilance and preparedness of relevant services to notice evil before it becomes public,” said Ilves.

He emphasized that it is important to do everything, including in close co-operation on the international arena, to make the likelihood of a repeat of Boston tragedy anywhere as low as possible.

“The United States are not alone during these difficult times,” added the President.
