RIGA - One of women’s curling’s most prestigious events, the World Championships, comes to Riga this March. Twelve countries are represented in the tournament at the Volvo Sports Centre between March 16 and 24: Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.The 2013 World Championships is an important precursor to the Winter Olympics, hosted by the southern Russian city of Sochi in less than one year.
