RIGA - Nationalist alliance All For Latvia!-For Fatherland And Freedom/LNNK (VL-TB/LNNK) is not planning any events on May 9, when part of Latvia's society celebrates the end of World War II, in response to March 16 events at the Freedom of Monument this year where "anti-fascists" played loud and obnoxious music during the solemn WWII Latvian Legion remembrance proceedings, VL-TB/LNNK leader Raivis Dzintars informed LETA.

Dzintars emphasized that his party "will not stoop to this."

As reported, on Monday, VL-TB/LNNK issued an official motion demanding the resignation of Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis (Reform Party).

VL-TB/LNNK emphasizes that the police allowed mockery of Latvian legionnaires at the Freedom Monument, which is unacceptable and must never repeat.
