RIGA - On March 25, Saeima will hold an emergency session to review All For Latvia!-For Fatherland And Freedom/LNNK (VL-TB/LNNK) motion calling for Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis' (Reform Party) resignation.

As reported, during a joint meeting of VL-TB/LNNK board and Saeima group yesterday, party members agreed on issuing an official motion demanding Kozlovskis' resignation.

VL-TB/LNNK representatives have collected the required ten Saeima members' signatures and the motion has been handed in to the parliament.

As reported, VL-TB/LNNK claims that during the Latvian Legion remembrance events at the Freedom Monument in Riga on Saturday, the police allowed other persons to disturb the events with loud sirens and obnoxious Russian music

Saeima member Janis Dombrava (VL-TB/LNNK) previously told LETA that due to the negligence of the interior minister, such activities were allowed to take place at the Freedom Monument without any intervention by the police. "If the minister cannot prevent such things from taking place, he must obviously leave his post," said Dombrava.
