Palmer: we will complete Estonian Air’s plan by next week

TALLINN – Estonian national carrier Estonian Air's manager Jan Palmer confirmed that they will complete Estonian Air's restructuring plan by next week but declined comments on what the plan is about, Aripaev Online reports.

"It would be wrong of me to comment upon it," he said.

As to merger plans with some other company, for example Flybe, Palmer said: "This is not true. We are working on a restructuring plan, we take care only of Estonian Air." He said that the plan doesn’t include any other carriers.

Palmer said that the company loses less money now than a couple of months ago. "In the first quarter we were still in red. But that minus was much smaller than before," he said, adding that he is still convinced that the company will reach profits but it will take time.

The most critical issue for the company now is to keep passengers. "It is extremely important that clients still had faith in the company. There has been negative news in the media for a long time, that's not good for the company," said Palmer.
