Police confident despite speed camera loss

As of Dec. 16, V-Traffic speed cameras no longer monitor and record speeding violations on the roads of Latvia, said the State Police Public Relations Department, reports LETA. But drivers are warned not to even think about going over the speed limit. Though the police will now have more work to do with the speed cameras out of operation, they still have more than 300 speed guns and four mobile speed cameras in their arsenal. Squad cars too will be equipped with speed limit enforcement devices starting next year.And, even though the speed cameras are turned off for now, State Police...
