VILNIUS - The investigation into the attack against the Lithuanian embassy in Minsk is still ongoing, says Belarusian Ambassador to Lithuania Vladimir Drazhin.

"Belarusian authorities are doing their best to find the culprits. The investigation is still ongoing. Lithuania will be informed as soon as any important information is gathered. So far, no more data is available about this act of vandalism," the ambassador said Tuesday, during a news conference to mark the 20th anniversary of establishment of Lithuanian-Belarusian diplomatic relations.

As reported, several Molotov cocktails were thrown into the territory of the Lithuanian Embassy in Minsk on Nov. 6.

"A couple of Molotov cocktails were thrown into our territory. It was pure luck that no harm was done. Molotov cocktails are indeed dangerous and we were lucky that it all ended well. The investigation now is at the hands of the police," Lithuanian Ambassador to Belarus Linas Linkevicius said.

The ambassador said that the embassy had not received any threats so the attack came unexpected.
