VILNIUS - Future Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Algirdas Butkevicius is already considering the restructuring of the Prime Minister Office.

Butkevicius intents to discard the institution structure created under the initiative of outgoing PM Andrius Kubilius and return to the Cabinet Chancellery model, says daily Lietuvos Rytas.

As Leader of the Social Democratic Party became PM he started planning the reform of the PM's office which was created three years ago by Kubilius' team. Butkevicius wants the institution that serves the Cabinet of Ministers to get back its previous position in coordinating government draft laws.

The representatives of the opposition say that the goal of employing "their own" people may be hidden by under such transformation.
