Social Integration Agency’s director suspended pending investigation

RIGA - The Welfare Ministry has opened a disciplinary case against several State Social Integration Agency officials; the agency's director Regina Simsone has been suspended from her job pending investigation.

Welfare Minister Ilze Vinkele (Unity) told reporters today that several document forgery cases were ascertained during an inspection at the agency.

Investigation continues and the agency's accounting documents for this year are also being examined.
