VILNIUS - Member of Parliament, the party Order and Justice candidate to the new Seimas Petras Grazulis announced a hunger strike from Tuesday, demanding to stop "a defamation campaign" against him.

He says he will continue his hunger strike until the law enforcement institutions find who "ordered and carried out the defamation campaign" against him.

"On October 15, after the first round of the parliamentary election, as I and Agne Bilotaite, candidate of the Homeland Union - Lithuanian Christian Democrats were elected for a run-off voting at Gargzdai constituency, distribution of leaflets started, the content of which humiliate me and derogate my reputation in order to prevent me from winning the run-off. For the same purpose, a couple of days later, an anonymous video was made, discrediting me () I have applied different law enforcement institutions regarding the issue but no pre-trial investigations were launched as they ignored my applies," the MP said.
