University enrollment registers sharp decline

RIGA - The number of young people who chose to enroll in Latvian higher education institutions after graduating from high school has rapidly decreased in recent years, reports LETA. In 2008, the figure stood at 75 percent; this year it stands at slightly above 58 percent, University of Latvia Rector Marcis Auzins said in an interview with the daily Diena.Auzins says that there is no information on those who have not enrolled in Latvian universities.
