AirBaltic’s big bet on untested aircraft

RIGA - Transport Minister Aivis Ronis says he approves of the decision by Latvian national airline airBaltic to buy new Bombardier CS300 aircraft, on the condition that the Canadian manufacturer “honors all of its obligations,” speaking at a presentation of a Bombardier Cseries 300 cockpit at airBaltic’s flight simulation center in late July, reports LETA.Bombardier, which is to supply airBaltic with new aircraft starting from 2015, has said that the new planes will reduce airBaltic fuel costs 20 percent and lower aircraft maintenance costs 15 percent.The contra...
