TALLINN - The Estonian Justice Ministry has started preparations to compile a new anti-corruption strategy "Honest State" by the start of the next year, Postimees writes.

The ministry sent requests to several ministries and the State Chancellery to appoint their representatives to the working group that starts compiling the strategy.

The ministry wants more focus on preventing corruption in local municipalities and the private sector. "More attention has to be paid to preventing the conflict of interests and potential danger of corruption in local municipalities," noted the ministry.

According to current plans, the new strategy will reach the government in February 2013.
