VILNIUS – Lithuania’s opposition, the Social Democratic Party, leads in opinion polls three months before the general election, according to a survey by the public opinion research company Spinter Tyrimai.
The Social Democrats received 14.2 percent support in a survey conductedfrom June 15-22, the news portal Delfi reported.
Two other opposition parties, the Labor Party and Order and Justice, ranked second and third with 13.3 percent and 11.2 percent, respectively. Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius' Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats placed fourth with 8.5 percent support, the survey showed.
