Azubalis pays a working visit to UAE

VILNIUS – Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Azubalis on May 7 - 8 will be on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to discuss bilateral partnership in the areas of economy, culture and education with the UAE government's representatives, also to coordinate opportunities for bilateral countries' support in international cooperation forums.

During his visit, Azubalis will meet with his counterpart in the UAE Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister for Foreign Trade Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi and other high officials.

During the meetings agenda of the EU and Gulf Cooperation Council which comprises the Arab states and regional issues will be discussed.

Azubalis will also participate in the Lithuanian and the UAE business forum at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

A Lithuanian-UAE agreement on air transport is planned to be signed during the visit.

Even though, Lithuania and UAE have established diplomatic relations 20 years ago, this is a first visit of the Lithuanian foreign affairs minister to this country.
