RIGA - Saeima on April 26 decided not to forward to committees Harmony Center’s Constitutional amendments on allowing the president to be elected by popular vote, reports LETA.Harmony Center explained that the presidential institution in Latvia was established as a party compromise aiming to maintain political balance.
