TALLINN - Several European state leaders have announced that due to the imprisonment of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Julia Tymoshenko, they won't attend the Central and East European states' presidents meeting in Crimea in the middle of May; Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves has also been invited there but will not attend, reports LETA referring to Delfi.

Head of the president's office PR department Piret Pert said that President Ilves has received an invitation to participate at the Central and East European heads of state meeting in Ukraine but since the time when it takes place coincides with the Lennart Meri international conference in Tallinn, the Estonian president has already announced that he won't attend the Yalta meeting.

"President Ilves has also expressed concerns about treatment of political opponents in Ukraine," said Pert.
