Kubilius meets Georgian president

TBILISI - Continuing his working visit to Georgia, on April 30, Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius met with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili in his private residence.

International policy issues, problems of the EU-Eastern neighbourship were discussed during the meeting.

Saakashvili told Kubilius about large investment projects taking place in Georgia and a government reform. The Georgian president also invited Lithuanian tourists to travel to Georgia.

Kubilius presented to Saakashvili a piece of metrics dating back to 1465 which mentions the land of Georgia for the first time.

Later PM met with his Georgian counterpart David Bakradze.
