VILNIUS - Even though Interior Minister Raimundas Palaitis of the Union of Liberals and Centrists handed in his resignation on March 21, which took effect on March 26, relations between the Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats (HU-LCD) of PM Andrius Kubilius and the Algis Caplikas-led Union of Liberals and Centrists still remain very tense.
