Residency permits face criticism

RIGA - The cooperation council of the coalition parties on March 19 requested that All for Latvia!-For Fatherland and Freedom/LNNK (VL-TB/LNNK) retract its motion for amending the Law on Immigration, which calls for a halt to the issuing of residency permits to third country persons who invest in Latvian real estate, said Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis (Unity) after the coalition meeting.
