RIGA - The Administrative District Court on March 12 decided to lift the Riga City Council’s ban on Uldis Freimanis’ March 16 commemoration rally, announced the court chairwoman’s aide Inese Deme, reports LETA. Freimanis’ rally will be held at Riga’s Laima clock near the Freedom Monument on Friday.The court’s ruling was carried out immediately, but may be appealed to the Supreme Court Senate within 30 days.The activist intends to commemorate the victims of Stalin’s Year of Terror.
