Maxima tends to become a market leader in Estonia

TALLINN - Head of Maxima supermarket chain in Estonia Vaidotas Pacesa says that their main aim in Estonia is to pass Rimi and become the market leader which is why the company intends to invest 30 million euros in its stores this year, Aripaev writes.

"This year is a symbolic year for us. We started fast development in Estonia with the new retail chain in 2004 and it took us 8 years to open the first large supermarket or Maxima XX supermarket in Tallinn," Maxima Estonia CEO Vaidotas Pacesa said, adding that by the end of this year there should be 3-4 such big format supermarkets in Tallinn.
