Baltic prime ministers to discuss progress with Visaginas nuclear plant project

RIGA - Baltic prime ministers will be meeting in Lithuania's Prienai on March 7 and 8 to discuss Baltic countries' cooperation in energy and progress with the Visaginas nuclear plant project, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis' press secretary Martins Panke told LETA.

Dombrovskis, Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius will give a joint press conference on March 8 at 11:30 a.m.

Representatives from Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian power companies will also participate in the premiers' meeting.

The informal meetings of the Baltic prime minister take place in one of the Baltic countries every year. The previous meeting was held in Vidzeme last August, the meeting before that - in Estonia's Tartu in 2010.
