Eesti Energia looks to expand Baltic presence

TALLINN - The Estonian power utility “Eesti Energia AS” plans to increase its share of the Baltic electricity market, according the company’s finance director Margus Kaasik.Bloomberg reported that the company hopes to increase its control of the Baltic market to 30 percent from the current level of around 24 percent.The Eesti Energi share of the Estonian electricity market is around 72 percent, while it is 15 percent in Latvia and 7 percent in Lithuania, said Kaasik.Eesti Energia posted 858 million euros in turnover last year, which is 7.7 percent more than in ...
