Weapons’ buildup begins in Kaliningrad

RIGA - The Latvian Foreign Ministry, commenting on recent news that Russian intends to deploy Iskander missiles in its Kaliningrad territory, which borders the Baltics, says that NATO’s missile defense system is just that - a defense system. The Foreign Ministry’s press secretary Janis Silis said that NATO’s missile defense system is a system which will not be directed against Russia and does not alter Russia’s strategic nuclear defense abilities, reports LETA.
