Dalkia plans biofuel plant

VILNIUS - Dalkia Eastern Europe, a company providing energy services to Vilnius, has decided to build a biofuel-fired power plant priced at 500 million litas (144.8 million euros) in Vilnius. The project was announced by Jean Sacraste, chairman of the board of Dalkia Eastern Europe, and Mayor of Vilnius Arturas Zuokas.“A new power plant would make it possible to reduce heating expenses by 20 percent,” said Zuokas.All the funds necessary to build the power plant will be provided by Dalkia Eastern Group.
