RIGA - During Riga Regional Court session on insolvency of the private shareholder of the Latvian national airline airBaltic – Baltijas Aviacijas Sistemas (BAS), airBaltic Corporation made an offer to cover BAS' debt to Veriko LTD for brokerage services.

Veriko filed the insolvency claim against BAS, reports LETA.

If this offer goes through, airBaltic in its turn wants the insolvency claim dropped.

In the courtroom, Veriko's attorney Raivo Sjademe stated several times that he is "not authorized to discuss such matters." Asked what is Veriko's objective – BAS' insolvency or repayment of debt, Sjademe replied that his goal is a "just court decision."
