Grybauskaite met with foreign ambassadors

VILNIUS – Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaiteon Jan. 17 met with foreign ambassadors resident in and accredited to Lithuania, to discuss the domestic and foreign policy of Lithuania. This traditional meeting is already the third such meeting during the President's term of office.

During the meeting, Dalia Grybauskaite thanked the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries for their contribution to the development of bilateral relations and said that Lithuania's domestic policy was aimed at ensuring fiscal stability and energy security as well as more transparent law enforcement systems.

According to the President, dealing with financial crisis is a key objective on the agenda of 2012 foreign policy of Lithuania and the European Union as a whole. Lithuania will continue actively supporting the European Union's efforts to ensure economic and financial stability and pursue a unified energy policy, she said.
