VILNIUS- The first trolleybuses produced in Lithuania have started carrying passengers on Tuesday [Jan. 10].
Currently they are named Amber but soon they will be renamed to Vilnis, informs LETA/ELTA.
A trolley-bus can carry up to 100 passengers. The new models provide more comfort both to elderly passengers and drivers. These low-floor carriers are equipped with video cameras and passengers counting systems.
On Tuesday, two trolley-buses have been launched. Assembling of both of them lasted two months. Later on, production of each further unit would take approximately 15 days, as specialist note.
