VILNIUS - Lithuania’s financial stability, energy projects and the reform of pension system-  those are the key priorities for the Lithuanian government in 2012, Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius (pictured) told the Lithuanian business daily Verslo Zinios on Jan. 4.

“Financial stability will be one of the key priorities considering those problems in the euro zone. The second task is about the energy projects. We hope to implement many projects before the elections. To reach that stage at which those projects would actually be implemented without major discussions and doubts. The reform of the pension system shall be continued, the reform of private pension saving system will be a major task, which will require the parliament to decide on the bills submitted. The government will also seek to win public support for the continuity of works,” Kubilius said to the daily.
