TALLINN - The Kajaani local government and Kajuun Etu in Finland will transfer the Estonian national carrier Estonian Air 150,000 euros for operation of a route between Tallinn and Kajaani for one year, reports bbn.ee.

The financing is a part of the marketing and promotion campaign of Kajaani aimed at making Kajaani more accessible.

Estonian Air announced that it will open flights between Tallinn and Kajaani on April 3.

The subsidy enables the airline to sell return tickets for about 100 euros.

As reported, Estonian Air carried altogether 50,287 passengers in November in Tallinn, which is 28.7percent more than last year.
