Antonov and Baranauskas detained

The former executives of the nationalized Snoras bank Vladimir Antonovand Raimondas Baranauskas have been arrested in the UK. This was confirmed by Europol on Thursday evening, reports LETA/ELTA.

Former Snoras shareholder Antonov and board chairman and president of the Snoras bank Baranauskas were arrested in accordance with the European Arrest Warrants issued for them by Lithuania. Both were named suspects in the case on large-scale misappropriation of assets, document forgery. Baranauskas is also suspected of fraudulent bookkeeping and abuse of authority.
