REZEKNE -- Latvian tax authorities have found a load of more than 1 million illegal smuggled cigarettes in the Eastern-Latvian town of Rezekne.
State Revenue Service Officials reportedly found a suspicious car loaded with boxes while conducting a regular inspection of a local company.
None of the staff at the company claimed to know anything about the car. When police were unable to contact the owner of the vehicle, they carried out a search and found the contraband.
