RIGA -- The Latvian government has reportedly sent the prosecutor's office a number of documents concerning airBaltic president Bertolt Flick.

''The Transport Ministry, in cooperation with the Justice Ministry, has prepared and submitted documents to the Prosecutor General's Office on possible illegal actions carried out by the airline's president,'' Matiss told ''Diena''.

The state-owned airline saw massive losses last year despite a growth in traffic. Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis previously said that the government would provide a bail-out for the airline, but only on the condition that Flick step down.
