RIGA -- Satisfaction with the government among the general public has plummeted to just 10% ahead of next month's spot elections.

Though it has been less than a year since voters re-elected incumbent Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis (Unity), since then a series of unprecedented political earthquakes have shaken up the scene. This includes former President Valdis Zatlers dissolving parliament over corruption, then forming his own party.

The latest opinion were led by Zatlers' new party, ZRP, and the pro-Russian rights Harmony Center party.
