TALLINN -- Estonian Chess Federation President Carmen Kass, an international supermodel, has resigned from her post as the federation faces increasing tension between the the organization's chairman and top players.
Kass, 32, had been president for seven years but has not recently had time to attend many chess events.
The resignations comes after nearly all of the country's top players refused to attend a major national tournament in protest over the alleged misuse of funding by misuse of funding by ECF chairman Hendrik Olde.
