Injured Estonian soldier sent to UK

TALLINN -- One of the two Estonian soldiers injured in a July 21 attack has been transferred to a hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.

The soldier received emergency surgury at a field hospital immediately following being injured by an improvised explosive device in the Helmand province of Afghanistan. He is reportedly in serious but stable condition.

The second soldier injured in the attack was released from the field hospital the day after the explosion.
