RIGA -- A cigarette smuggling operation uncovered in Latvia may have involved members of customs and state revenue service (SRS) agents, investigators claim.
Around 2.2 million illegal cigarettes were found in a truck at the Paternieki Border Control Point on the border with Belarus on July 10. The cigarettes were found hidden inside egg carton boxes.
