TALLINN -- Estonian Finance Minister Jurgen Ligi has said that the country plans on contributing to the bail-out packages for Portugal and Ireland.

Ligi said in an interview with AP over the weekend that "even if a rich country is in trouble, it is still in trouble and you need to support it."

Estonia, which joined the eurozone at the beginning of this year, remains the poorest member of the currency union and one of the hardest hit by the world financial crisis.
