TALLINN - Estonia's new government has been officially sworn in by the president.

"The strong parliamentary majority won in the election gives you a mandate and an opportunity to make decisions based on that majority. However, sound political culture means that different opinions also get noticed and taken into account," President Toomas Hendrick Ilves said at the ceremony.

"I advise you to keep in mind, while putting the coalition agreement in practice, that on election day nearly half of the voters chose different goals and means of attaining them," he said.
