Giddiness in Politics

As spring approaches Latvia this year, politics has gotten all giddy. I cannot say for certain that this is due to warmer temperatures, but goodness me, some goofiness has been going on. For instance, former Transportation Minister and current opposition MP Ainars Slesers, who is known for running his mouth before his brain is properly warmed up, recently came up with just a dandy idea: Anyone who donates one million euros to help Latvia in paying off its monumental debt will be given Latvian citizenship.
