Singer Freimanis dies aged 33

RIGA - Popular Latvian singer/songwriter Martins Freimanis has died at the age of 33.

Freimanis passed away in the Latvian Infectology Center, reportedly of flu complications.

Freimanis had been leader of the pop rock band Tumsa since 1994. He also wrote songs for other popular bands, wrote a book of poetry, and acted in the Liepaja Theatre and on television series.
