RIGA - Several schools and kindergartens in the Latvian capital are going to close their doors, affecting some 5,000 children.
National news agency LETA reports that the changes will affect Kindergarten no 43, Kindergarten no 35, Natalija Draudzina Gymnasium and Riga Secondary School No 99, Riga Estonian Secondary School, Riga Plavnieki Primary School, M.Lomonosov Russian Secondary School, Riga Center Primary School, and Riga Evening (shift) Secondary School No 1.
The changes are all due to take place this summer, with the latest changes to be implemented by Aug. 1.
