Government replaces Riga airport board

RIGA - The latvian Transport Ministry has replaced the entire board of the Riga International Airport, saying that "the airport requires management that will guarantee effective operations."

The new board will be headed by Arnis Luhse, who replaces outgoing board chairman Krisjanis Peters. Other new board members include Aldis Murnieks, Andis Damlics and Verners Lusi.

The government emphasized that all the new board members have extensive experience in leading positions, national news agency LETA reported.
