DARFUR - Three Latvian helicopter pilots that were kidnapped in Sudan's war-torn Darfur region have been freed.

The pilots are employees of the Latvia based "GM Helicopters", which had been taking part in a UN World Food Program relief mission when they were kidnapped on Nov. 4.

The UN and the Latvian government have both previously said they would not submit to ransom demands for the three men, and the circumstances for their release have not yet been revealed.
