RIGA - The newly elected Latvian government has agreed on a budget for next year and passed the document on to parliament for approval.
The budget includes a deficit of about 5.5% of GDP - totaling about 600 million lats - even after cutting nearly 300 million lats from this year's figures.
It will now be up to parliament to approve the new budget. The document allows that minor changes are still possible as negotiations with international lenders continue.
