VILNIUS - Lithuanian champion marathon runner Zivile Balciunaite has avoided a ban on competing after officials said they could find no evidence of her using illegal substances.
The National Athletics Federation said Thursday there is "insufficient evidence to impose a ban."
The runner had failed a doping test following her victory in the marathon event at the world championships in Barcelona, Spain earlier this year.
