Publishers struggle to sell more books

RIGA - There are about 400 companies or private persons who published at least one book during this year in Latvia. Among them, less than 100 are big and middle size publishers. The crisis has made their business really tough. Now, their survival depends on the government - whether or not it decides to increase the VAT tax again.The hottest question for the industry now is VAT for books.
