RIGA - Latvia's parliamentarians may face 100 Ls pay cuts, bringing their monthly wages to 1,413 Ls per month, national news agency LETA reported.

In addition to their regular salaries, MPs currently receive a number of valuable benefits - including payments for housing, transportation, entertainment, and communication. Moreover, MPs receive hefty bonuses (some totalling hundreds of Lats) for participation in committees.

Alongside the salary reduction, parliamentarians may also lose some of these additional benefits as of next year.
